Preparatory Stage (Grades 3 to 5) is the second phase of schooling under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in India. This stage bridges the Foundational Stage and the more formal academic structure of middle school. It aims to gradually shift from play-based learning to more structured and interactive classroom learning, while still keeping it enjoyable and engaging for children.
